We greatly regret that, in line with government advice, the hall remains closed until September. All bookings have been cancelled until the end of August.

The Village Hall will reopen in line with the Government guidelines on COVID 19 security in community venues. We have prepared a revised set of booking conditions to comply with the guidelines and have carried out a COVID-19 Risk Assessment, both of which can be accessed on the Facilities & Hire page under Hiring Policies and Guidelines

Briefly, the main points are as follows:

We will only be hiring out the Main Hall. The other meeting rooms and the kitchen will not be available for use. Charges will reflect the usual room hired so a group moved to the Main Hall will pay for the cost of the smaller room.

Only the Disabled toilet will be in use available for everyone to use.

To comply with social distancing guidelines the capacity of the hall will be reduced significantly and depending on how this is calculated our initial estimates suggest a figure of between 32 and 40. This might increase slightly allowing for households to sit and stand closer. This is clearly not an exact science and hirers will need to consider social distancing as applicable to their attendees and layout of any tables and chairs.

We anticipate that our cleaner will undertake regular thorough cleaning, but we will also be asking hiring groups to be responsible for cleaning light switches, door and toilet handles and frequently touched surfaces before and after the hire. The necessary cleaning materials will be provided.

Hand sanitisers will be installed on entry and exit doors.

To comply with Track and Trace hirers will need to keep a register of names and addresses of attendees.
